After the trades leave
Post-construction cleaning.
Construction dust behaves differently from household dust. Drywall and silica dust is fine enough to stay airborne for hours, settle into every horizontal surface, and reappear on a surface that was wiped that morning. A single-pass clean on a new build never holds. The job is done in stages, and the stages have to be in the right order.

What the job includes.
Debris and material removal
Offcuts, packaging and site waste cleared before cleaning starts.
Multi-pass dust removal
Repeated passes over days, because a single pass will not hold on fine construction dust.
Vents, tracks and rails
Where dust settles and later recirculates through the building.
Paint, adhesive and sticker removal
Overspray, caulk, labels and stickers taken off glass, fixtures and appliances.
Fixtures, cabinetry and appliances
Inside and out, including cupboard interiors that carry a full layer.
Final detail before handover
Glass, floors and finishes done last so the space is presentable for a walkthrough.
How it runs.
-
Rough clean first
Bulk debris and heavy dust cleared once major trades are done, so finishing trades work in a clean space.
-
Settle, then repeat
Airborne dust is allowed to settle and then removed again, usually two or three passes.
-
Final detail on your date
The last pass scheduled tight to your handover or listing date so it is clean when it matters.
What changes the price.

Number of passes
Two or three visits is normal. A single pass on a new build will not hold once dust settles.
Trade finish quality
Paint overspray, adhesive and sticker removal varies enormously between sites.
Site or occupied home
Renovations inside a furnished home need containment and take longer than an empty build.
Questions we get asked.
How many visits does this take?
Typically two or three. A single visit on a new build is the most common mistake. Dust still suspended when the crew leaves will settle overnight, and the place looks uncleaned by morning.
Do you remove construction waste?
We clear general site debris and packaging. Bulk material disposal, bins and anything requiring a hazardous waste stream is a separate trade.
Can you clean before the final inspection?
Yes, and it is worth timing it that way. We schedule the final detail pass close to your inspection or handover date rather than whenever the trades happen to finish.
Do you handle renovations as well as new builds?
Yes. Renovations are often harder, because you are cleaning construction dust out of a home that is still lived in and furnished, with containment mattering more than on an empty site.
